Introduction
Emanuel Lutheran Church is the fruit of a mission of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Panamá (IELPA) in the town of Sorá, Province of Panamá. Located in the central mountains of Panamá, Sorá was an agricultural center for the area, but is fast becoming a retirement community for North Americans and Europeans seeking a quiet retirement life. The town has around 1,000 inhabitants, and another 500-600 on weekends, in addition to another 1,500 in neighboring towns.
Our Vision
The vision of Emanuel Lutheran is to be a "light in the darkness", sharing the Gospel in its purity and simplicity through words and action, by loving our fellow human beings as Jesus has loved us.
