Pastor Rhoads
Eph. 3:20-21
Thank you for visiting our Web site today.  I hope that you will come back often.  God has given His Church a wonderful gift in the Internet.  His Gospel message can now reach throughout the world.

Saint John congregation is a medium-sized congregation, worshiping an average of 140 people on Sunday morning.  While we are here to serve all Lutherans in the surrounding area, our main purpose is to live out the Great Commission not only in our congregation's life,  but in our own lives.

I would invite you, if you do not have a church home in the Hattiesburg area, to come by and worship with us on Sunday morning.  I can assure you that you will hear the Word of God being preached.  In our worship service we lift up our prayers and praise to our Lord for all he has done and continues to do in our lives.

We celebrate the Lord's Supper at each worship service.  I would ask you to contact me for further information concerning the Supper before participating in this most wonderful gift of our Lord.

We have much to offer those who would like, if they so choose, to be an active part of the family of God.  If you would like more information about Saint John and its mission, including DVD’s about Lutheranism, please write or call the church office and we will promptly send you the information or DVD.

Have a blessed day in the Lord, for he has made it.

We Believe:

That the Bible is God's Word.

As such, it is the final authority in all matters of faith and life.
2 Timothy 3:15-17

That there is only one true God.

The God of Scripture-Father, Son, and Holy Spirit-is worshipped in our midst.
Matthew 28:19

That no one can save themselves by good living.

Man by nature is a sinner and unable to attain God's standard of perfection.
Romans 3:20-24

That God has provided only one way for our salvation.

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life."
John 3:16

That faithfulness brings peace and joy.

Our lives are voluntarily and gladly placed under the Lordship of Christ. In Him we find what the world cannot give.
Matthew 10:28-30

That no sinner is beyond the reach of God.

God desires that everyone should be saved and come to know His truth.
Luke 9:10 and 1 Timothy 2: 3-4

That you are welcome to join our family.

The Christian Church is made up of many people with a wide variety of backgrounds, interests and talents. You are always welcome in our midst!
Galatians 3:26-28
